.Hello,
I am a retired Hand-Lettering and Decorative Design Artist for the greeting card industry that has discovered the wonders of digital. My wife, Marie Bright Arbogast, is an American Primitive/Folk Artist who does all her artwork on the computer. She is the one who brought me over from the board. Now almost all my work is mouse drawn and painted. We like to call our work Urbane Country because it is very eclectic, ranging from Marie’s american primative to my more polished graphic digital painting and calligraphy. You can tell we influence each other by our love of pure, joyful color. Other than art and music, our time is spent raising our two sons, and living the quiet life in a small rural town in Missouri along the Kansas border. Here in Missouri our art is influenced by the lush colors and dense foliage of the hills and river bottoms and fifteen miles across the border in Kansas starts the flat lands and their crystal clear, sharply defined hues of native grasses. The amazing thing is one can see the change as they cross the border. In our work we try to capture the beauty of both color worlds.
