It’s all connected…Logging in the world’s rain forests is the most conspicuous form of destruction and deforestation. In addition, the lives of indigenous people and wildlife habitats are disrupted or destroyed. The timber from these forests is used for anything from door and window frames, to furniture (mahogany) to paper! (another reason to recycle) Alternatives? Yes, non-wood fibers, like fast growing bamboo, and straw can be used. We can all help through the choices we make.
