Life creeping into death
This room at no. 85 Bank St, Port Fairy had recently been abandoned, evidenced by a half-drunk bottle of Pure Blonde sitting on the fireplace. It told an unfinished story of neglect and impoverishment, not uncommon in Australian rural towns.

Marina, my friend squats and this is similar to his place. It’s shelter all the same. I love it, it reminds me of pauly and his struggles to find routine and stability – how can you in such a place, why not crack a beer coz there ain’t no oven!
