Most of the work of my son Koen give me the same peaceful feeling when watching it. The love for nature comes out of the pictures…
I like to work with colourpencils because they are so pure and simple. A child takes a colourpencil and can start drawing from his/hers inner mind. As an adult many people think they lost that ability. I want to stay near my inner mind in a childlike way, pure, obsurving the world around me, nature. Anybody can draw, just do it, let the child in yourself speak and you can find your inner spirit growing.
Working with colourpencils also is very practical: I leave my drawing on the table in our livingroom and I can draw whenever I have a spare moment…
