Clementine’s

Clementine’s belongs to the following groups:

Core [C.O.R.E], Vibration in Art and Verse - VAVoom! and WMG

It began
As this…
Thoughts of shoulder blades
And my mouth completing the dip where
They join
Simple…

Lucky pennies
And fingers
Crawling meekly
Over melancholy laugh lines
And
Sympathetic ambers
Of broken winged birds

Of you being
As familiar
As the cross that always
Hangs between my breasts
At every moment I am alive
And still hoping
Except once…

And
Maybe?
Loved
Adored
Enough
That I would be
That song on the radio
You just have to know the name of
Even if you’re late
Because it was worth a listen to
Again
And again

And tonight
When
I catch your scent from miles away
Clench my teeth
Cross fingers
Legs…
Make promises
On my will of melted candles
Knowing all along
The solitude of your hip bones
Would be enough for me to lose myself on
For days
And maybe a lifetime?

And I look up at the stars
They are much more beautiful
Than I ever remember
Knowing
Tonight instead of the usual
Chaos in my mind
I will lay down with wild child smile
Dream of peeled Clementine’s
And the left over taste on your fingers
