What a striking image! One can make all sorts of interpretations. Did you grow up in a strongly religious atmosphere?
April Mansilla
thank you!
I came from the oppisite kind of family(my immediate) ....but my extended …grandparents aunts …are extremly religious …so I lived in two worlds with that ….thank you for the question

This piece is so haunting, I love how you’ve combined the Pagan Coins with the Christian Cross.
I love the mouth how it’s sewn up, is there symbolism behind that? it seems like the sort of thing commited by foes, who wish to prvent a dead soul from ascending, i’m intrigued to hear your take on it ;)
