Will You Still Love me 2-Moro? by

I needed some blue in my collection of chocolate paintings and being a lover of this bar there was no doubt it had to be included. This one was my fastest to paint in just 2 days.

Lovely! If Brian (above) goes to your local shop he will probably find they’ve run out of them :)

Are these new? I’ve never heard of them.
Great painting April, as ever. I love the blue, and I can tell you love the bar – not much left!

Aah, just googled it and discovered we call them Starbars in the UK :) No wonder I hadn’t heard of it. Still a great painting though :)

ps. “Will you still love me to-starbar” doesn’t have the same ring…

  • Haha no. It doesn’t!

Yeah I did except it looks more like a dolphin to me, and the “A” frame (used to lift heavy weights), and the tent, the pac-man (good game, good game), the portable radio, the hang-glider, the boomerang, torch-beam (just above the letter “R”), ray-gun firing, sailing dingy, cat, maple leaf, reptile’s tail ….. Hee hee! :o)

Did you pick up the chocolate fragments after you were finished with the model?

I am about the chocolate fragments, but all of the patterns are there to me I promise. Hint: I worked from right to left (I know, but I also thumb through books from the last page to the first too). Start at the top right end of the wrapper and work left, you’ll see what I mean, I hope, or is it time for that nice clean nurse to bring my warm milk again (and it’s only 0920hrs or 0820Z).

This is really unfair of me, sorry April. You have spent a lot of time creating this work of art and every detail you painted is critical to the image as a whole. You will have known intimately how the light and shade came together to provide depth and form on each element of the complex coloured subject.

So for me to comment on small elements out of context and say they see completely different and unconnected images is totally out of order. I am beginning to realise that I have a strange way of seeing the world. Specsavers wouldn’t make any difference, you obviously see very well to create your art.

I still see the image as a whole of course and it is, like the other work’s of yours I have seen and commented on, magnificent. I could never reach your standard, that’s why I use a camera to produce my final images.
