A God one should fear, is not a God of love………..Fear leads to hate and violence.
Halve of the scriptures have been rewritten by medieval popes to gain more power through fear.
In yon cave I long did dwell, in search of heaven, by making Earth a Hell….
Not to insult You, but I refuse to fear any God, nor his enforcers……………
The self-proclaimed speakers for God, Allah or whatever, abusing illiterate, uneducated people….
People that abuse (any) religion for their own gain, that is true evil.
I believe in the good in mankind, although there is much evil, which always destroys itself……..
Look at the evil empires through history, that self-destructed.
Again, no offence or insult meant.

  • Thank you for your opinion. Fear is not to be looked at as a bad thing. It is a form of respect. I fear to walk out onto a freeway filled with vehicles driving at 75 miles an hour. I fear putting my hand on a hot stove burner. I fear the punishment meted out if I should go against the law of the land which is one (not the only) reason I obey the law. Fear is important in life and keeps us from doing things that would harm us if we had no fear. And, a good dose of healthy fear (or respect) of the true God does not hurt but help us as true Christians to remember who God is and that, although He loves all of us so much that he sent his only Son to die on the cross for our sins, He still is God and deserves our fear and respect. Again, thanks for your opinion and for taking the time to talk about God’s word with me. – April
