The Texas dandelion is different from the common dandelion. It is much larger and taller and is sometimes called “False dandelion.” The Texas dandelion has unique dark purple to black anther tubes in the center of the flower. They have a milky sap.

This is beautiful AprilAnn. I think it’s what we call Common Goatsbeard here in Canada.
Thank you, Vickie. We have so many wildflowers. We also have a flower that we call goatsbeard that looks similar to the Texas dandelion.
Gorgeous with the sun highlighing the back of the flower
Thank you. I appreciate the comment as I wasn’t so sure about it at first but hoped some would enjoy it.
Thank you for the feature – and on my birthday even!
A really gorgeous backshot of the Texas Dandelion! I love them, and this is a beautiful capture!
Thank you so much for the encouraging words – sorry it took so long to respond. I host to groups and sometimes I miss when I receive wonderful comments. :}}
What amazing light, shade and color!
Thank you. This was one that I wasn’t sure others would appreciate as much as I did so I’m glad you enjoyed it also.
In my opinion, this work will be featured all over the place.
Thanks so much.
