"Sand CRANE"

*SAND CRANE was capture in wilderness of GRAND TETONS/Yellowstone National Park….I was tired at the end of the day yesterday and just before the sun was going down i captured this beauty …..used Nikon D2xs camera and nikon 600 mm wildlife lens…I would say he was about 80 feetaway from me…..captured in the valley…...it was pretty wet from snow melting and muddy….....(with boots on and special nylon pants for wet enviroment) it was piece of cake…What you see what you get….This bird does look exactly what u see in the nature…

Just gorgeous image Bianca. These are hard to capture on film as they are quite shy and tend to stay in isolated areas. Having that big old lens sure helped. It is a wonderful capture. What a beautiful creature.
