Scary Nano Stuff

I started speculating on what I saw as the inevitable progression of what is now known as nanotech when I was in My late teens. It had always seemed to me that sense the discovery of the microscopic world that our path would lead to going further and further into the very building components of the physical world. It was even then that the beginning of understanding the world on a molecular level was well underway, although I could only speculate on most of the details. It is not My intent to Produce hysteria or start and campaign to stop such explorations, but perhaps to express My hopes and concerns. The construction of nanomatials would appear to be in most cases beneficial to most aspects of life(baring weaponry), however there are a number of scenarios that could develop with what I call invasive Nanotech, that is any nanotechnology that is designed to interact or alter any physical body. I can imagine a plausible scenario with nanotech designed for medical use without or breach of security measures., such as an individual obtains technology and engineers it to do a variation under control or semi autonomous task, hand a kid $5 and a squirt gun and specify a target(sometime what appears to be the absurd can convey an idea as well as copious amounts of writing). and there is the well toted gray goo scenario on the large scale autonomous dysfunction platform. and any given plausible variation. If the argument boils down to our ability as a hole to responsible use technology then perhaps with or without, we should have a “handle with care” label on all of us?
