Baboons can be extremely aggressive and have been known to attack humans as well as each other. But look at the tenderness and patience of this mother who silently endures her baby as it hangs off her nipple, fast asleep…

Beautiful shot Jane. I remember the olive baboons and they were fascinating. I loved the grunts they used to make and how they would watch intently as I passed by their enclosure. This baby was tiny when I was there – they were both in quarantine, so it is lovely to see them out and in the main enclosure in this shot. A beautiful moment captured again.
Thanks Jul. One day when I was feeding them bananas one of them threw rocks back at me – talk about ungrateful…lol

hehe – yes, they have plenty of attitude. Perhaps thats like giving you a present in Baboon language ;)
Well you know when someone gives you a present and you say, “thanks, but you really shouldn’t have done…” !
