inside every tree

inside every tree
there is a dream of the sun
rising out of the earth
*

frogs endangered
reflected in raindrops
*

sometimes all I see in everything
is death moving at an unimaginable speed
with a magnificent
magical
frenzied
compulsion
*

at a certain age
all goodbyes
coalesce
into an embrace
*

I kept stopping to look at the blue
winter skies
until I too was blue it got inside
my helmet
*

Nature… get it off. I love that line in “Madagascar,” the animated movie. Your last line made me think of the comparison… but your first line made me think of ‘the potential loss of life,’ something those who would happily ‘strip mine the whole planet’ care nothing for- whistling all the while. Another great on Anthony. I see sparks!
