Woodcut. the imagery was burned into the woodblock with the heating elements (rings) on an old stove top.
I printed it with Carlson’s Woodblock Black ink, on German Etching paper. I ran the board through my Ettan etching press rather than using a Baren.

fantastic work! how’d the block hold up through the press?

  • thanks Andrew- I burned a lot of different kinds of boards/blocks… this one was a piece of plywood panelling. I used very light pressure and raised the roller up almost an inch off the press and applied an xtra blanket.
Most of the Rings woodcuts I printed by hand using a barren.
