I find it to be a beautiful work of art. It truly is amazing.
Sometimes when I see someone paintings, art work or a photos words come to me while looking at it and I have to get those words out on paper. This is what came to me for this: Anastasia’s Gift.
From my window high up in the turret I feel the golden warmth of the sun caressing my skin. I sense another beautiful day outside these walls. How long have I been here, I don’t know, the days roll into weeks and weeks into months? My room my prison holds me, protects me from outside dangers of the forest. I wish I could venture outside just to feel the leaves that rustle on a gentle breeze or to talk to the horse I know is nearby to feel the hair on his strong neck entwine through my fingers. I want to walk along the dusty path I smell is there when it rains. But most of all I wish I could see all of Gods beauty around me but alas I can’t. I went blind when I was 13, yes an unlucky number for some but it is of no importance to me because I still have images in my mind of what I once knew and I can paint even though I cannot see the canvas before me so this is my gift to you a painting from a blind girl. But please do not weep for me, I have everything I need really, it is all inside my mind.
