Ok, redone this again because in my haste to upload it I didn’t notice the colour saturation was tooooooo much, so thanks Andy for pointing that out.
Eilean Donan Castle is situated on the side of Loch Duich in the Highlands of Scotland. As you can see I have used the painted effect again to add a little something to my shot. Not sure what it is perhaps you can tell me?

It’s great to see a different slant / angle on this, as everyone seems to take the same shot.
My aunties Grandfather was born in this castle and we have family ties with the owners.
I know it well.
Hey Larry, a small world eh? Thank you so much for your wonderful comment my friend it is always great to have a little history attached to a shot and you just gave us a piece, thank;s mate. Now correct me if I am wrong but I believe they used the castle in one of the Highlander films didn’t they?

Nice to see a different shot of this amazing place Tony
Thanks Rob and yes, I agree with you

They certainly did.
And as far as Hollywood is concerned, this is the only listed castle for including in a movie.
There has been a heap of movies with this specific castle used in it.
including Entrapment ( 1999 ) with Sean Connery and Catherin Zita Jones..
Also, it was another relative of the clan that began “The Red Poppy of Flander’s” that was used for remembrance of WWI, and has a monument built at the front of the castle as a tribute to him.
Thanks for that Larry a world of knowledge mate
