The first Crocus
Yep, this dear little flower is the first to arrive in our garden this year so spring has started her rebirth and re-growth. It could also be said this is symbolic of our own growth and rebirth, changes being made within our own being. We just need to sit quiet to seek the answers.

Thank you Valli for your comments and it wasn’t raindrops, I cheated and used my own rain, no I didn’t pee on them I got a garden spray bottle and lightly sprayed them with tap water, it works a treat eh?

Stunning lighting and detail, love the water droplets!
Anthony Hedger in reply to SkyFox’s comment, 6 months ago
Thank you Sky so much for your comments I do so value them. To make the droplets apear like dew I got a garden spray bottle and lightly sprayed the flowers with tap water, cheeting I know but it is too dark to take the shot at 5.45am and the flower heads aren’t open at that time.

Anthony Hedger in reply to Robin Fortin IPA’s comment, 5 months ago
thank you Robin for your very kind words – I am glad you love orchids they are lovely flowers but this is a crocus. Will that mean you’ll take it out of your favorits now? What a shame.
Anthony Hedger in reply to Daniela Weil’s comment, 5 months ago
can you get out for some good shots
Robin Fortin IPA, 5 months ago
You’ll never get me to take it out of my Fav’s, so I thought it was an orchid… Im a photographer what the heck do I know about the names of flowers I just know I like to photograph them. Anyway thank you for educating me on the difference between a crocus and an orchid, I’ll be sure not to get them confused again :)
STAYING IN MY FAV’S!!

Wonderful shot Tony! Love the droplets on the crocus! : )
Anthony Hedger, 3 months ago
Thanks Luci for your comment. I cheated with the droplets though. I just used a fine garden spray bottle and gave them a light spraying to look like early morning dew and it works eh?
