Foxy Lady
I bet any males looking are now quite disappointed that there isn’t a babe here for them to look at? LOL
This is my second shot from the British Wildlife Centre. The centre is just ten minutes away from the M25 motorway, junction 6 in Newchapel on the A22 Eastbourne Road in Surrey.
This beautiful Red Fox kept looking at me then turning away then back to me again as if asking; “Have you got the shot yet? ” And when I had the one I wanted she trotted off.
The Red Fox is one of my favourite animals and I know they steal from farmers and are shot if caught and were hunted by dogs and people on horseback with nothing better to do but rip the poor creature to pieces but they are just so beautiful, look at her face, how could you hurt one of God’s wonderful creatures as beautiful as she is?
I hope you like the photo and thank you so much for viewing my work, please call back again soon.

This is fabulous Tony. I have been out tracking for foxes a few times the last month – but they seem to keep evading me all the time. I did manage to come across one about two weeks ago, as I was driving home from a woodland area known for their presence. I has spent three hours up there waiting to catch sight of one, but nothing, then about three minutes after starting home, one jumped out of bushes right by the side of my car and even when I pulled in, he stood there looking at me for ages. Typical that the camera was in the boot :(
There is also a mohter and three youngsters who have taken home in the middle of a large roundabout, about ten minutes walk away from my home. I have seen them all out playing loads of times, while passing, but every time I go sit out with the camera – they don’t make an appearance :(
Julie Langford
On the note of hunting in your description. After all that fighting to get the sport banned [well, not stopped, but done in a different way] – its sad news to know that their appeal may allow the sport to be reintroduced in it’s orginal barbaric form soon.
Anthony Hedger replied
I didn’t know that. We should hunt the huntsmen with dogs to see how they like it, the Xastards.

Well, she IS foxy lol! Amazing shot ofcourse. I love how her eyes are almost exactly the same colour as her wonderful red fur!
Anthony Hedger replied
Thank you my dear friend for a lovely kind comment, x
Do you get these animals over in Canada?
Anthony Hedger
Thank you Julie for a most wonderful comment. Now you know as well as I do;
Keep the camera with you at all times, not in the boot of the car but in front with you LOL When you are out and you know where they are try to be downwind from them so they can’t smell your scent.
Julie Langford
Thanks Tony, I will have to try that. This time of year though, around here, they tend to come out after dark. I have no chance of getting the shot in the dark. night photography and me -well, we just dont get on hehe, and that is even with subjects that cant get up and run away. Only in the height of summer do we get to see them in any form of light.
