The Pathway
Here in the photo it is autumn the trees and shrubs shed their leaves to form a carpet of golden yellow and rusty brown and it will lead you deeper into the woods for a journey to remember. But if we stop to think for just a moment about the whole process of life we get a better picture of what’s to come.
As we walk along the pathway by the side of the murky pond we see many of the trees are now naked of their protection, their leaves. In spring the leaves grow and give shade to everything underneath, some flower and the birds live on the seeds then they fly off somewhere and when their food passes through them it lands on the earth and will grow into another tree starting the process off again. The leaves give life to the tiny creatures of the forest, ants; spider’s caterpillars to name but a few and other creatures live on these. Where there is life – it gives life.
When autumn calls and the bad weather comes the leaves drop to feed the ground creatures and to feed the earth so other things may grow and live. Living is a cycle, we are born, we live and we die but when we die we help others to live.
