Feeding Wattlebird

Anthony Davey

Feeding Wattlebird

This wattlebird was so engrossed in raiding the flowers it seemed to be totally oblivious to me, I really was only about 3 metres away from it.
I’m told the flower is known as redhot pokers.

A lovely image – so bright, with good lighting, and good details of the wattlebirds feathers. Sometimes, that magic moment strikes and makes all the near misses go away (even if only for a short while). Well done.
