Kerala Backwaters by

Sunset over the Kerala Backwaters, Kerala, India.

The sunsets in this part of the world are amazing. The fireball in the sky doesn’t actually radiate a lot of light, and the contrasting darkness of the landscape was very surreal. It was amazing to be here. I really like the faint silhouette of the palms.

My camera’s sensor was covered in a lot of grit when I took this image, and the long exposure really brought it out. It was fun spotting the little blotches – ahh, memories of the good old days of film scans!

Amazing Anthony! I like the way you have captured details in the foreground eventhough the trees are a silhouette. Great work!

Awesome shot Anthony. I was watching a documentary on the Bengal Tigers narrated by David Attenborough and the photography in India is amazing! It’s so lush green. Were you worried about your photog gear when you were there?
