I’m officially allowed to spread my good news to the world as of this weekend …
I’m going to be a dad in October! … and, It’s certainly been a challenge to keep my mouth shut over something like this for the past 12 weeks!
I’ll soon be posting a couple of million photos a week … ;-)

National Photographic Portrait Prize 2008
I received some great news this afternoon!
My work Assorted Toppings has been selected as a finalist in the 2008 National Photographic Portrait Prize.
The exhibition will open at the National Portrait Gallery, Canberra, on 20 March, where it will be displayed until 24 May, 2009. It will then subsequently tour to numerous Australian capital cities and regional centres.
This is very exciting stuff!…
Create to Advocate exhibition, Canberra
I just received a call informing me that the portrait Niyati has been selected to be shown at the Create to Advocate 08 Art Competition and Exhibition, at Parliament House, Canberra. The official opening is on Tuesday 14 October, 2008. The exhibition will also be attended by PM Kevin Rudd.

Black & White photography challenge
I’m very happy to have just found out that my photo Arun made it to number 7 of the top 10 images in the Melbourne & Victoria group’s Black & White challenge. Arun will therefore will be displayed at the Brunswick Street Gallery, from September 26th until October 9th, 2008.
As my wife, Jo, says, “that face deserves to be shown in a gallery!”
