Definitely worth an entry! The tonal range is great and so it the composition – the shape of the board leading to the surfer’s face along the diagonal. I think this one is better than the other shot tittled “Luke”

Definitely this one for the exhibition (rather than the other shot of the same guy) – I think the colour and mood give it the edge – it’s a great shot Anthony. Really evocative of the whole Australian beach scene. Exactly as Nicholas says – he’s cradling his board with such love. Your portraits just get better and better.

Honestly? Not being Australian but living here, this exactly the image that ppl have on their minds when they think of Oz, myself included. It’s like a Qantas ad or sth like that. Mate this is one of the best portraits I’ve seen in ages. My opinion is to print and submit in as many comps/exhibitions as possible. I’m hitting my fav button…

When I first read the title I thought you’ve got to be totaly crazy to want to go surfing in December but then I realized this is in Australia not Canada!! We are buried in snow right now!! Great shot.
