Long time I didn’t upload a real portrait…. I took this time a couple of days ago in Eritrea in the school where we were organizing our art activities. Some people call them the “ninjas”. Some people throw them stones while they are dressed like that… some people do throw them stones or spit on them when they uncover their faces…. In what world do we leave ? Just leave the woman alone ! Leave the children alone ! Set them free…. Give them a voice !!! it is what Art in All of Us (www.artinallofus.org) modestly try to do !
This is so beautiful such an emotional image….and i agree with your description it brings to mind that old saying in England ’don’t throw stones if you live in a glass house’. I always live by the rule ‘do unto others as you would have done unto you’ surely if we all lived by this principle then the world would be a lovely place….but then again i am an Idealist sigh! Ok i’ll get down off my soap box but the mistreatment of others is something that really gets me going!!!!!
Lovely image Anthony. Congratulations on the work you are doing at Art In All Of Us – moved me to purchase another great photo of yours – Scarification in Africa. Thank you.

Wow!
This is one captivating image. The girl has beautiful eyes and the way the headscarf fans out to the right, it’s just perfect for your composition.
