Imagine a world that was about expansion and making a paradigm shift away from the default emotion of a pain that spirals us down into melancholy.
Pain exists only where we are too busy to be present with the subtle, to notice the tender, to reflect on the humble, to honour the unseen, to celebrate the uncelebrated, to see the truth in the hidden cracks and corners where abundant beauty resides.
Courage to turn away from the boom, crash, bang of the obvious and the unconsidered mindless din of bling and statements of unfelt delusion and to burst the confines of ego that imprison us in living a contracted life as victims of approval myth.
Disappointment is the great disabler that allows expectation to erode our equilibrium and wreck havoc on our inner call.
What would it be like in the face of hurt and punishment to open our heart even wider and to let us expand further and discover new ways to respond?
And to know there is great healing in our woundedness if only we dare look.
