TALL POPPY SYNDROME was featured in Art Universe 4-2-13
My digital version was created on the 14-1-13 using my finger and iPhone. It was one of my first digital drawings.
My traditional Version:
On the 13-1-2013 I uploaded a drawing package on my iPhone, iPad and MacPro and taught myself how to draw using a digital medium for the first time. Over the past 18 days i have done over 50 drawings and kept 45 of these.
I have used a stylus for most but sometimes my finger as well. Trying to create the most organic and natural lines. I have not left my traditional mediums of ink, acrylic, water colour pencil, collage, mixed media but am exploring with excitement another medium i can use to create from the constant creative thoughts that dance through my mind.
Tall poppy syndrome (TPS) is a pejorative term primarily used in the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and other Anglosphere nations to describe a social phenomenon in which people of genuine merit are resented, attacked, cut down, or criticised because their talents or achievements elevate them above or distinguish them from their peers.
