Mutual Adoration - Happy New Year to my Beautiful Friends on RedBubble! by

Mutual Adoration by Bruno from Bruno’s Sculpture Garden in Marysville

During the Black Saturday Fires of 7 February 2009, 90% of the township of Marysville was destroyed, including Bruno’s Sculpture Garden. I was heartbroken to hear of this tragedy as Bruno’s Sculpture Gardens is one of my favourite places. On the 27 December 2013 I got up the nerve to visit Marysville and Bruno’s Sculpture Garden for the first time since the fires. To my amazement a new gallery had been built and the gardens had been restored. Although some of the sculptures had been damaged and destroyed many had withstood the fires due to their resilience to great heat as they are made out of clay. I wanted to share a few of these beautiful sculptures with my friends on RedBubble.

Wishing all my beautiful friends on RedBubble a beautiful 2014 filled with inspiration, collaboration, connection and exuberance!

Much Love,

Anthea

Creating art and writing is like breathing to me, it keeps me alive. If I stop creating my world shrinks and contracts. When I start to create again it expands and is filled with colour. I feel whole. To create is to be completely, unabashedly alive.

i like the one even better though
it is still the same one, and her face
    exhuberant to the all embrase
of his attempt, her love registering
o’er his shoulder clasped so lovingly:
evoking the christ not at all / i
    see no incidental lines about
like those all around christ ‘sif the sun
    he but the wafer embodiment
    positioned in the very middle
    the golden blinding apparatus:
the smiling love centres the image
grasps my breath from me, i feel envy
i covet what i see before me
yet i can’t yet feel what i have not
but i do have this now on my screen

  • Dear Judd your comments are exquisite beauty. So wise, sensitive, sensual and knowing. Such a pleasure and joy to behold. Wishing you the most beautiful year filled with grace, beauty, creativity, exuberance and peace. Much love to you.

I had never heard of this place but wow this sculpture is unspeakably beautiful in so many ways. I live around Eltham so have come into contact with some people directly affected by it. What a force of nature it was, and changed everything irrevocably. Yet great charity and human kindness came from it. Happy new 2014 to you Anthea :)

  • Jim you would love Bruno’s Sculpture Garden. It is a revelation in spirituality, emotional depth, honour and love. It is worth the drive from Eltham to Marysville. I love your sensitive, reflective, beautiful comment Jim and I could not agree more. Happy 2014. I hope it is filled with inspiration, grace, beauty and much creativity.

Such astonishing statues , the beauty of the entwined human is just captivating dear Anthea , Bruno so understands emotion …. Stunning posting !

  • Yes he does – yes he does. I think this is a sculpture of Bruno with his love. Paul it is exquisite. I was mesmerised. The whole sculpture garden is spectacular and to think a roaring fire burnt the entire garden and his gallery and house only 5 years ago. He has built it back up. Bruno is brilliant artist and an amazing human being. You would love it my friend because you are brilliant with emotions too. Have a happy and inspired 2014.

Oh wow this is an amazing sculpture Anthea expressing so much love we need to see more of that in the world…..

  • Yes we need more love in the world my dear friend. This is what I look for in life – mutual love, mutual friendship. Mutual admiration. Love works best when it is felt the same on both sides. This sculpture conveys the essence of mutual love.
