Wow Julie, thank you so much for your thoughtful and considered response to Love Bombed. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your words. Yes my love bombed book is a fascinating journey. Have you heard of the term ‘love bombing’ before? I painted the image a few years ago now and have been contemplating the novel since. I began it in 2006 and half finished and am wanting to go back and finish it in 2008. Wrote another book last year called RAW. I am needing to edit and create an art work for that one now :-)

A very bold and emotional statement in shades of red with a touch of japanese art.

The intense red over the heart area, the sadness in her face and the self absorbtion look tell of very strong emotions. The well defined strokes with a feeling of bleeding talk about not only hurt, but also give a general sense of angst and perhaps even a bit of anger.

This is a masterful composition which shows an innate talent in bringing emotions and drama to canvas in such a condensed way. Superbly done Anthea, and I just wonder how I have missed to comment on this outstanding (self?) portrait.
