The Day Which Never Was 2008 11 01

Presentation of my poetry book
The Day Which Never Was 2008 11 01 belongs to the following groups:
Country BumpkinSomehow I hear his voice, not from the lawn, not from sadness / from somewhere between the worlds of magic
I did not speak, but overspoak, I imagined myself through others and the dandelion field which had turned to one of sedge
Having uttered no word and gone to the river, having abandoned oneself to words, he did not return and … and …
He didn’t want to return, did not plan to, did not prepare to do so, didn’t try, did not promise, did not want to, and could not …
And there was no reason to, because beneath the grass he was already lying, not yet defiled and unrecognized
But already forgotten for that period of time…
And the snow came unexpectedly, the leaves disappeared, I stepped and there was nothing there save for one sole birch tree which stood as it had stood, perhaps only somewhat older, but able to stand and have its eyes open, and it wanted to hear its name But …
That was not what he needed, not what he waited for, no word or hymn, perhaps we could have called him a bard, but
in the snowdrift he knows only that the winter has come and … and … they could have spoken, but did not upon their return.

Ne to jam reikia, ne to jis laukia, ne žodžio ar giesmės, gal ji dainorium vadint galėjom, bet
