Antanas Skucas is a 23-year-old animator extraordinaire and artist from Lithuania. He is a graduate of M. K. Čiurlionis National Art School and received his Bachelor of Arts from the Department of Animation of the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts. His thesis animated film TòvAš (Like-Father-Like-Son), tells the story of a boy turning into a man. His other work includes the film Copy of Paste (2006), a comic short about computer icons living their own lives in a computer world, and a short called Nebaigta pasaka (Unfinished Story, 2007) about the massive die-off of the honeybee.
Antanas is currently working with his professor Ilja Bereznickas, on the movie Cyber Pirate. He is the author of several commercials, including work for the Lithuanian national TV channel, Baltijos TV. He recently made video installations for a local pop-group Saulòs Kliošfor their performance in the national Eurovision Contest, and for Jurga …eduikytò, the winner of the best female act and the best album of 2005 in the Lithuanian Bravo awards. Antanas has also been commissioned by the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania to create installations for a charity concert for Afghan kids in 2007.
