This just touches the heart. I love the gentle little burro laden with goods for the pantry and the smile of the man under the snowy umbrella. Man and beast working together on a challenging day for travel.

A wonderful image that portrays a harder life than that most of us enjoy in the modern world, it’s also interesting to note that his wares are of a more modern tinned goods rather than what we might expect traditionally, strong documentary and journalistic qualities as well as being a brilliant capture,

This is a wonderful shot. I love that there is no background, this adds to overall feeling. The umbrella just makes this shot for me, it adds a quirky touch, I never think of Afghanistan this way.

I have thoroughly enjoyed your photojournalistic journey. Thankyou for sharing it. It is a sad story and one that needs to be told. The visual is a strong way of “portraying” a story of course. The colour, beauty and the harshness of the landscape contrasts with the brilliant flashes of colour and lovely faces of the children.
