Thanks Antanas, for adding me to your watchlist, and for adding “Levels of Complexity” to your favorites. The tones in “Dream of the Trees” are beautiful, and the composition is very thought-provoking. I was just watching the sunset over the cliffs behind my house, and thinking about how there is as much tree under the ground as above, and how the root system is a reflection of the structure of the branches. The I find this image, which encapsulates this perfectly!

I like this one because most people shoot 3/4 of the actual scene while leaving the 4th quarter for the reflection. You did the opposite, you shot the majority of the reflection creating a topsy turvy upside down effect which is really right side up. It’s really a great idea.

And you must’ve used a very wide angle lense to do it! The photo goes concave in the center on both the scene and the reflection making the trees stand back creating a 3 dimensional effect. Very nice.
