A thought washed over me.

Walking along Narrabeen Beach the other day with some rather nice dramatic waves breaking I thought ‘Wouldn’t it be nice to do a panorama of this.’ But as one well knows waves don’t stop and pose for you.

So the idea occurred to me (this could be accomplished by someone with an excess of cameras and tripods or a group project) — what if you line up a number of cameras on tripods (there would have to be similarities between the cameras used) in a manner where the scenery would overlap on each subsequent camera and all the cameras set up to fire at the same time by using a remote release.

The photos would then be merged/processed via Photoshop.

Just a thought.

How clever Tony – we’ll have to try this on one of our RB Rumbles … maybe you could come and orchestrate everyone!

  • I hope you do. No need for orchestration, I’m not someone of note.

It is an idea, but all cameras will have to be the same with same lenses and settings,

Maybe to start with try 2 or 3 cameras.

Nice project for a get together

  • I hope some group gives it a go — I don’t have that many friends ;-)
