New Camera in my Collection...

Posted about 1 year ago

Rummaging through a garage sale today I came across a few cameras, one of which I couldn’t pass up on. Its a Bell and Howell/Canonet QL 19 rangefinder. I’ve been looking around for any information about it, while there are tips on how to repair it and such, I have yet to actually find a specific manual for it. All the manuals I’ve found are for the GIII version.

Anyone have any ide…

Oh boy did I fall for it....

Posted over 2 years ago

I bought the D80 vice the D200 awhile back noticing its pretty much the same camera…. same sensor, engine all the goodies right? In the art of saving money I wanted to use older AIS lenses on it, oh boy, I didn’t realize that AE got thrown out the window on this one. There is no TTL metering for MF lenses on the D80, not even stopped-down. I guess I could live with this, but its really…

Lightroom saves the day!

Posted over 2 years ago

At what seems like the last possible moment, a friend from work calls me to arrange a photo shoot of her and her dog before the day is over. What I didn’t realize, (mostly because I had been sleeping all day!) is that the sun was already low on the horizon, and it might be too late by the time she arrived! S…
