Yep…. this one was bound for a stick… the 102nd was re-aligned… this one is all painted up and stripped down, few fuel tanks and a couple blank missles…. she looks pretty though. Got a chance to see one of the 22’s in Norfolk awhile back, amazing planes.

ah! Virginia. We would die for a air-show here but too many complainers. Usually have hornets in nearby carson (suburb of LA) but they complain about the engine noise. We’d have to go too far out just to see a show, maybe Edwards AFB if they even host one

Thats strange, I would never think someone could complain that much about an airshow. I tell ya man, these 15’s used to be stationed here where I am… and yes they were damn loud, but when they left…. most of the area was doleful. That sense of security the public had was gone. I know they don’t parade around the F-22 much… its still pretty hush-hush because of its capabilities. You wont find it flying much at airshows. Good luck though, looks like they’re due to arrive in NM for duty soon.

Brian, indeed the F-22 now flys reguarly at the Airpower over Hampton Roads Airshow (Langley AFB and even makes an appearance at the NAS Oceana airshow …..
