Summer is Here by Ann Van Breemen
Well, it’s that time of the year again. Summer has well and truly arrived in Queensland, Australia, bringing with it our usual share of electrical storms. This one passed over Surfers Paradise this afternoon. As we live on the 33rd floor I get a ringside seat from my balcony. I don’t even have to venture out into the storm and risk getting wet, or worse, being hit by lightning.

It’s funny but I sit in the loungeroom at in the evening and watch all the camera flashes going off as the holiday makers in the Marriott take photos of the sunsets, or storms or just the view. I can even see the flashes going off on the Q1 viewing deck. A pity they don’t seem to know how to turn them off. I hate to think what the photos must turn out looking like!!:)
