This is my tribute to a wonderful and brave country on the ninth anniversary of their darkest hour.
I live in Australia but have a great love for the USA and it’s people. I remember watching in horror on that dreadful day as the television broadcast the horrific events as they unfolded. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse it did.
I’ve visited Ground Zero since and am amazed by the strength of the American people, particularly the New Yorkers, who literally had to pick themselves up, dust themselves off and start all over again. Also the love and comradeship and bravery that was exhibited by everyone involved was very humbling and uplifting.
Both images were taken on my first roadtrip to the mighty USA. The Bald Eagle image was taken at Point Defiance, Washington State, the flag was one of many flown with patriotic pride across the country. Images blended in P.S.
