It’s Daffodil Day in Australia. A day when shops and fundraisers sell daffodils and pens, pins etc, to raise money for the Cancer Council in the ongoing war against this deadly disease. I did my bit and bought a beautiful bunch of Daffodils of various shades, including a lovely white one with a yellow center.
My deed wasn’t strictly altruistic, however, as I also wanted the flowers to photograph. This image is one them. A reflection of the white daffodil in water drops hanging from beneath the petal of a yellow daffodil. I did originally put the water drop on top of the petal but for some reason it refused to stay there so I made the best of it. I suppose I do live in the “Land Downunder” after all.
