Full Snow Moon Rising - Over The Red Desertby A.M. Ruttle
No doubt glad that their patch of the Red Desert doesn’t have snow, these healthy pronghorn antelope does and a fawn are grazing and resting before evening falls. By contrast, almost 200 miles north in Jackson Hole, wildlife mortality seems higher than normal this long winter. Canon 50D, ISO400, f 16, 1/500, 275mm focal length, RAW, handheld.
No photoshopping of the moon; this is the way it looks outside of Rock Springs, Wyoming, USA as the February Snow Moon rises.

Oh, no, I thought this would be a photo of contractor crack when I saw the title. Kidding aside, there is great beauty to be found even near RS!..:-)) That moon is awesome in the image, capturing the wintry chill of the scene perfectly. We watched a Snow Moon rising in February with oooohs and aaaahhhs at how grand that moon rising was in the eastern sky. Well done, AMR!
