Striking out on their own, this band of cow elk broke off from the larger herd and was on alert, intently scanning the north. Wolves have been known to drop into this open plain called the National Elk Refuge, Jackson, Wyoming, USA.

Excellent shot, I love the nature/landscape aspect of the shot. I need to do more of these type of photographs as apposed to just portrait photos.
