Swimming Stags - Lascaux (Compare to Pronghorns Bedded Down) by

This Lascaux “rock art” was created circa 23,000 years ago. A friend in France emailed it recently and set it next to the shot I had taken of the Pronghorn Bedded Down… a titch of similarity!

Source: Lascaux main gallery. Featured in Antlers, Racks, and Other Horned Animals, September 2010, thanks so much!
