Field of Lupine and the Tetons
The lupine in parts of Grand Teton National Park are quite extraordinary at just the right time of year. This little pond is ephemeral, and is the perfect mirror for sunrise over the Tetons. It’s worth the wait to see this lovely scene! Canon 40D, tripod, f 22, 1/2, focal length 28mm. Grand Teton National Park (near Moran, Wyoming).

Dave Higgins
Is a great image, well-thought-out and presented. I think shots are even better if you have to wait for them. I might add a touch of yellow in the highlights. picture is great just like it is, just trying to add some constructive dialogue.
A.M. Ruttle replied
Hi Dave, great suggestion; I’m really interested in thought along those lines. AMR
A.M. Ruttle
Dave, do you see a difference in the file I uploaded just a moment ago? When I was toggling the layer on and off, your suggestion brightened up the greens and yellows; nice effect I think as they were a tad muddy before; do you think I went too far?
Dave Higgins
No I think you nailed it. It also removed some of the over purple saturation and this guy and mountains. Almost any time that the sky is your major light source, you’ll need to add some yellow. This will happen a lot at sunrise.
A.M. Ruttle replied
Awesome coaching; thanks for walking me through that. Keep the excellent suggestions coming!
Ken McElroy
