Curving To The Grand
The Grand Teton is truly as remarkable as it seems in images, and every shift in the weather or season shows yet another side of it many facets. I had driven by the curve of bleached grass many times, and finally called to get permission to drive onto the private property to take this shot.
Canon 40D, 22, 1/13, focal length 60mm.

Photo is as is or did you use a filter? Lovely.
A.M. Ruttle replied
Thanks whalegeek; lovely poetic description of yours! May I quote you? No filter involved, minimal correction in CS3. Just wish I had been carrying a camera with a bigger sensor and more megapixels!
whalegeek
Of course you may use my quote, A.M. Ruttle. Keep up the great work!

Grand Tetons…Yep, it’s definitely on my to go list! Thanks for this stunningly captivating photo!
A.M. Ruttle replied
When you go, Helm, drive from the town of Jackson toward Wilson to the west, and you will see this vista on your right (or to the north) just before you get to the bridge over the Snake River!

This is the one I was searching for. The wheat coloured grasses lead the eye to the majestic mountains in the distance, it is wonderfully composed. It is so beautiful in the warm sunlight!
A.M. Ruttle replied
Thanks so much, Sharon; sounds like you would have hunted down the owners to get permission to take the shot, too! It really drew me in, probably because of the way the grass glowed with the light.
Sharon Mau
Ae! The depth of field on the mountain peaks is wonderful and I love the swirling dramatic skies. The light patterns form an S shape throughout the image. It is lovely!
