Red Hellebores and Snowdrops by

Watercolour 37×27cm Artists’ watercolours on 140lb cold press paper.

The hellebores are starting to show their buds in the garden, right down at soil level underneath the jumble of last year’s leaves which will have to be cut away to reveal the brand new flowers. If you plant snowdrops nearby, you will always have this lovely combination of red, green and white flowers in the early Spring.

We did this as a workshop project last year and everyone enjoyed the subject and did pretty well at it too!

I did not see this painting passing by! What a little treasure!

What I love about your work is the gentle effect, precision and again looseness. It is so romantic.

    We want more :)

  • Thanks Beatrice… I’m happy with that, really nice of you!
