Watercolour 27×20cm Artists watercolours on Arches 140 not.
Blackberries and Hawthorn berries in a hedgerow along an unused canal near our home. There is a wealth of fruits and flowers still out there even in October. The birds are in for a feast!
Some people have shown interest in how I paint the different stages, so below you can see the five main stages of the painting from start to finish.
COLOURS I used were:
Yellows- raw sienna, aureolin, indian yellow, quinacridone gold
Blues- ultramarine, cobalt blue, Winsor violet
Reds- permanent rose, alizarin crimson, burnt sienna

All Products

blackberries, autumn, hedgerow

I’m a watercolour artist and art tutor from Nottingham, UK. I love painting flowers particularly and sharing techniques with others as I really rate this wonderful medium. I have written two watercolour tips and techniques books which demonstrate the way I like to use watercolour.
