Hollyhocks by

Watercolour 36×25cm. W and N artists on Saunders Waterford 140not. Backlit hollyhocks in the garden. I enjoyed setting the pale pink against the very dark green background.

perfect light! beautiful painting. I can’t still figure out how you paint so perfectly in watercolours :D every light and detail is so exact.

  • It’s the old “ten thousand hours” I think (and a bit of luck!!!) I don’t get out much! ( I’m putting this reply in the correct place now I hope!)

My very favourite flowers with roses. You have made them so beautifully. It is gorgeous!

  • Mine too. Love the way they tower up and are so beautiful when growing en masse.
