The Towers

The towers were hit in a shower of anger
Innocent people made to suffer
The consequences of a Brutal Government
War declared on the terror
As we all just stare at the wreck on the ground sub zero
It brought out so many hero’s who sacrificed their lives
To help out others in their bid to survive.

I had been there once, such an amazing place!
To think now it doesn’t exist except for the memories
Of the pain and the hurt of losing so many
Who were caught in that terrible space.

Even though years have past
It’s not so easy to forget the horror
That had happened so fast.
It has changed our world
For now we live in fear
Of more bombing attacks
And agonising tears,
Terror alerts and security concerns
To keep us safe from this ever changing world.
