Meet Rumor. She’s a rescue from Virginia who now lives happily in Maryland with her owner. I met her while she was going through training to herd goats/sheep. What a beauty…gotta love those eyes!

We Aussies like to think of Border Collies as our own because they are so widely used as sheep dogs here……. as Al says, they are so smart, equally loyal….. i can’t talk them up enough….. it’s amazing to watch them work! My Dad used to own the only stupid one LOL!

Ha! I know what it’s like to own a dog that has rocks for brains…I’m in that boat too. ; ) I agree with you on Border Collies – they are truly a piece of work. A piece of ART, almost! Over the next few days I’ll be uploading some more dog pics…some this gal, some Australian Shepherds (my personal favorite!), maybe even a Belgian Terveuren or two. One more tonight, and then off to bed for me! Thanks for the comment, Rosemary! You’re right…even when she’s ‘at rest’ she’s alert and attentive!

My brother’s Australian Shepherd, Lady, has two eyes like the blue one. The different colored eyes are kinda neat. Definitely a conversation-starter! : )
