This is my friend Randy’s ‘office’ in the garage at the Pioneer Mountain Ranch in Dillon, MT. This is where reatas (throw ropes) come to life! Randy was taught by the best, Bill Dorrance (click to read more about Bill and his fascinating life), years ago, and now carries the torch of braiding reatas.
Great candid Ann, just a day in the life of this gentleman.
Indeed. His days hold such a variety of tasks…including what you see him doing here, breaking (training) horses and caring for them, building fences, interacting with any clients or potential clients, etc., etc. The life of a cowboy holds much variety!

Yep, and is probably the best job one could have, no clocks, or boss’s, all the outdoors and working with you hands. That’s what God intended for us.
