Just a quick update on Zenfolio websites (I’m shaped, again…), the price of the website I have – Unlimited – is going up to $50.00us a year as of Feb 1, so if anyone is thinking of getting one, now is the time. They can be fully customized to suit your needs. Anyone who signs up for the Unlimited account before February 1, 2010 will be locked in at the $40/year rate for the duration of their membership. If you want, you can use my referral code of 1R7-7TK-N5E to get a further $5.00 off the price. My website is here
Please excuse my lack of activity. We are looking at our internet plans so hopefully can get over this being ‘shaped’ every month.
Hi all, I just want to let anyone who may be looking at getting their own website to take a look at Zenfolio. They have just updated their features to create a very slick looking site at very reasonable prices. My website is the Unlimited and for $40us a year I believe it really offers value for money. Your site can now be customized with your own choice of colours, slide show on your front page and a host of new features. I’m really happy with the ability to search my gallery, for example if you want to see my photos of Kyoto from my recent holiday to Japan, you can simply type Kyoto into the search, and up they pop! How cool is that! And of course, my shop is Redbubble. I’m still tinkering with my site but take a peek if you are looking for a website. They offer a 14 day trial …
Whew! My first big sale has just been completed! I was approached by a well known company to buy a license to use my image Yellow Frangipani for placemats and coasters. It was a far more involved process than I ever imagined, involving agreements and transfer of high res images which proved to be an incredible and valuable learning experience.
I am thankful that I have a daughter who is doing her masters in publishing and communication and was a great help when it came to the legal side of the agreement.
I must admit that it became a bit like my day job at times and I have learned a healthy respect for the work that Redbubble does, which means we don’t have to.
So you may see this image soon in homeware stores….I certainly hope so!
We’re off to Vietnam for a short trip in early December and I’d like to know if anyone has a camera bag they can recommend. I will be taking one dslr and a max of 2 lenses and cards etc. I want to be able to carry a bit of cash and sunnies in it as well. I have a backpack type already, but I want something that doesn’t look too much like a camera bag. Also I am worried about theft. Does anyone have any advice?
We are going to Hanoi, Sapa and Halong Bay so if anyone has any ‘must sees’ especially in Hanoi, I’d be grateful if you could drop me a line.
